The human body is nearly 70 percent water, so it’s no surprise that we need to stay well-hydrated to stay healthy. You need to drink enough water so that your body can properly digest your food and deliver nutrients to your cells, and to get rid of substances that your body doesn’t want.
Without enough water, your body is dehydrated and the cooling of your body temperature would be problematic, your joints would have no lubrication and your muscles would also tire more quickly. The principle is this: every cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies, needs water to function well.
The recommended water intake is about 2-3 liters of water per day.
If you struggle to drink enough water daily, here are a few tips to stay healthy and hydrated:
SEE YOUR WATER
It can be very useful to see the amount of water you drink and track your progress throughout the day. Place the desired amount of water in a jug or bottle on the kitchen table or keep it on your desk. It will remind you to drink more, and you'll be motivated to drink as the day goes on—and you'll reach your goal of finishing it.

FREEZE YOUR WATER
Drinking cold water is often more refreshing than drinking water at room temperature. Freeze your water bottle and carry it with you wherever you go. The water will stay cold for a very long time and it should encourage you to drink more water.
WAKE UP TO A GLASS A OF WATER
We are normally more dehydrated in the morning. So keep a glass of water next to your bed and consume it as soon as you wake up.
ADD FLAVOR
Add a slice of fresh lemon or lime, cucumber, some berries, fresh mint, or a slice of fresh ginger to your water. This makes it special and adds a refreshing taste.
Try our Aloe Concentrate Mix. A tasty and kilojoule-controlled drink, to help you stay hydrated.

EAT YOUR WATER
Don't forget that water-rich foods like fruits and vegetables, especially cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, and leafy greens, increase your daily fluid needs, so include plenty of these healthy foods in your meals and snacks.
Conclusion: Just as you keep track of your calories, it is important to keep track of how much water you drink on a daily basis. The water bottle on your desk is a great idea and reminder, that every time you see it, you have a drink of water, and before you know it, you have completed your water intake for the day.
